We are often asked why did you become open-source?
We made this decision for several reasons.
The first, most understandable and material, is that time is passing, we are getting older, the worldview is changing, new hobbies and activities appear in which you want to invest time, and the client base is growing and time for all technical "improvements", even those that you want make a start to miss. Open source software in this case is a satisfactory solution, since the development and development of software no longer rests against us as a company.
The second marketing reason is the intention to try to go the open-source path in the Russian Federation, the first, because no one has acted in our market (greatly swollen after the advent of the law). We highly value freedom of choice, and such a solution provides an alternative - spend time, figure it out and do it yourself - for free, or pay our time and experience if speed is important. This alternative is primarily aimed at small telecom operators who are required to strictly comply with the requirements of Roskomnadzor in the provision of public Wi-Fi.
The third reason is human. In the process of life, we constantly encounter and interact with different people who influence us differently and ultimately shape us. What is called "partnership" relationships can begin, continue and end in very different ways, in another city, or even another culture of like-minded people with whom you want to continue relationships, and not only in the field of commercial relations. Open source software is a kind of "marker" for those who are looking for like-minded people.
